UNIVERSITY IBADAN ADMISSION

NaijareadThe administrator, Ibadan University, academic Abel Idowu Olayinka, aforesaid Monday that solely 300,500 students from over 60,000 candidates UN agency selected the university within the final UTME were admitted.


He aforesaid that this figure was 200,949 for the recently dead Post UTME. However, Olayinka maintained that 90,266 candidates from the 200,949 candidates UN agency weekday for his UTME post scored fifty % and better.


The administrator created these statements whereas talking on a media chat control at the University Community Radio, Diamond FM, Ibadan.


He aforesaid that though the university was given an opportunity to portion regarding 7000, it’d solely permit some undergrad students to expand access to postgraduate students.

Student Faints, Policeman Injured As MAPOLY Students Protest

A female student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, collapsed, while a policeman was injured on Monday as scores of students of the higher institution took to the streets to protest their inability to sit for their second semester examination since September 18. The students who launched what they tagged ‘black week,’ said the protest was mainly due to inability of the students to commence second semester examination, which was earlier scheduled to commence on September. It will be recalled that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, MAPOLY chapter, had postponed indefinitely the second semester examination scheduled for September 18, based on the state government’s creation of Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology out of MAPOLY.
